DJ RAP -
Charissa Saverio (also known as DJ Rap, born 1969) is a British drum and bass disc jockey. While the majority of her work is in the jungle style, her more popular work is in traditional electronic music. Her most well-known CD, Learning Curve, was released in 1999 to critical acclaim and resulted in several highly stylized music videos, including 2 versions of "Good To Be Alive" (one for the CD version and another for the rarer radio remix) and "Bad Girl," a song about having to be a strong woman to survive in today's world. Since Learning Curve, Saverio has focused more on DJ set CDs, including Touching Bass, a 2-CD set with drum and bass and breaks tracks. She is planning on a follow-up in 2007, this time with drum and bass and house tracks. DJ Rap has also done vocals for several artists, including BT (for Giving Up The Ghost, Believer) and Art of Trance (for Madagascar - Domi Nation Remix).

COLETTE - DJ Colette is one of the first DJs to add her vocals to the record she spins, inspiring a new category of performance in the electronic world. As countless others begin to sing and spin, many can still not compare to the vocal/turntable sessions Colette delivers. How many singing DJs combine up-close observation of the legendary Derrick Carter and Mark Farina dating back to Chicago in the late Eighties with formal operatic training from the ages of nine to eighteen? Probably not many. In fact, there may not be any DJ today who can match the impressive pedigree of former music teacher turned mix-master DJ Colette.

MISS FLOWER (TraxTorm, ThirdMovement) - First Arizona Appearance out of Switzerland - At the age of 14 years, Miss Flower visited her first Rave and had fallen in love with electronic music immediately. She frequently went to parties and by the age of 15, she decided to mix her own sound at the turntables. After a couple weeks of practice, she gave an original promotion tape to the organisator of Biella Factory, who invited the young talented lady for a gig.

NAHA (GreyLife) - In her ten years behind the decks, NAHA has crafted her mixing style and technique which is as diverse as the genres she spins, including techno, breakbeats, digital hardcore, hip-hop, and jungle. She has found an amalgamation of these sounds in her specialty, breakcore. She has played all across the U.S., including Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Oklahoma, Florida, New York, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington D.C., and multiple cities in Canada. In Seattle she has held dozens of residencies, hosted on air and online radio shows and performed with bands Exorcismo and Black Pill Book. Her 3-hour weekly internet radio broadcast on Groovetech.com ran every week from December 1998 through 2003.

This was pretty awesome, definitely a lot of fun. There were a few drawbacks, such as starting a half hour late, the pitch-black port-a-johns (Laserave put some floods aimed down on them), and not a big push on water (it's SUMMER - give people a chance to drink with the $.25/ea credit for returning empties).

My question is this though: What the heck happened at the end? At least, I assume it was the end. Security told the DJ's to shut off and pack up, there was confusion all around, and several DJ's didn't even get a chance to do their sets (I was there for Sonique des Fleurs)! Once it seemed to be coming apart, I got out of there in time to see a couple of police cars quietly driving up. Anyone know what the story is?
